Premier Physician Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join a busy community hospital near Newark, NJ. The role offers clinical autonomy, consistent scheduling, and a collaborative environment within a high-volume emergency department.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care in a high-volume ED with approximately 35,000 annual visits.
• Work in a 24/7 emergency department environment.
• Cover shifts during various times, including day, evening, overnight, and weekends, with flexible scheduling.
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient management.
• Maintain clinical independence while collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Ensure quality patient care and safety standards are met.
• Work a minimum of 6 shifts per month as scheduled.
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols for emergency care.

Compensation

• 1099 contract position with other compensation arrangements.
• Malpractice coverage provided, including tail coverage.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule with shifts during day, evening, overnight, and weekends.
• Minimum of 6 shifts per month, with shifts typically from 7AM-7PM, 10AM-10PM, 5PM-5AM, 8AM-8PM, or 2PM-2AM.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted New Jersey NP or PA license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience (must be EM, not Urgent Care).
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and adaptability skills.
• Clean background and malpractice history.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
• Flexible availability to cover variable shifts, including weekends and overnight hours.
