Nurse Practitioner

This full-time outpatient Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) position in Watsonville, California, offers an opportunity to provide patient-centered primary care in a low-volume, predictable schedule environment. The role emphasizes wellness, prevention, and meaningful patient relationships, with no on-call duties and reduced administrative burden.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient panel of 10-15 individuals per day, focusing on wellness, chronic disease management, and urgent care needs.
• Provide comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, with dedicated admin time included in the schedule.
• Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice, including DEA certification.
• Engage in health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and standards.
• Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities as supported by the employer.

Compensation

• $170,000 to $185,000 annual salary, negotiable based on experience.
• $15,000 sign-on bonus.
• W-2 employment with tax withholding.
• Additional compensation includes CME allowance.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted NP or PA license, with a preference for Family Medicine experience.
• Full prescribing authority, including DEA certification.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience managing routine wellness, chronic conditions, and urgent care.
• CPR/BLS certification at start date.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently in a clinical outpatient setting.
