North Central College's MSPAS Program is seeking part-time faculty to teach physician assistant courses during the 2025-2026 academic year. The role involves delivering course content, developing assessments, grading student work, and holding office hours. Candidates must be board-certified physician assistants or physicians with relevant teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach one to two MSPAS courses or labs per semester.
• Deliver course content and facilitate student learning.
• Create assignments and assessments for students.
• Evaluate and grade student work.
• Hold office hours to support student progress.
• Contribute to curriculum development as needed.
• Participate in faculty meetings and academic activities.
• Maintain compliance with program and institutional policies.

Compensation

• Salary range from USD 2,970 to USD 15,000 per course, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Compensation is paid on a W-2 basis.

Shift & Schedule

• Part-time, course-by-course basis.

Requirements

• Master's degree in physician assistant studies or MD.
• Unencumbered Illinois medical license.
• All degrees from an accredited institution; terminal degree preferred.
• Experience in graduate physician assistant education preferred.
• Ability to facilitate student-led discussions.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with course management systems (e.g., Canvas).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must pass background check and provide official transcripts.
