Elizabethtown College's Physician Assistant Program is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor to teach and develop curriculum within the graduate PA program. The position involves teaching didactic and clinical students, participating in program development, accreditation, student advising, and scholarly activities. It is a 12-month, permanent appointment starting January 1, 2026, with annual renewal based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching and clinical supervision for graduate physician assistant students in both didactic and clinical phases.
• Participate in curriculum review, program planning, and development activities.
• Assist in accreditation processes, including course and student assessments, site visits, and data collection.
• Engage in student recruitment, admissions, and advising for both undergraduate and graduate students.
• Contribute to scholarly activities and service to support professional growth.
• Design enriching educational experiences that promote community engagement, holistic medicine, and understanding of human behavior.
• Maintain a professional development plan addressing teaching, scholarship, and service with focus on diversity, equity, accessibility, and justice.
• Collaborate with the program director and faculty to ensure program quality and compliance.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program or equivalent discipline-specific accredited program.
• Current NCCPA certification or relevant discipline certification.
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience.
• At least three years of teaching experience in higher education or related settings.
• Eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum development and program assessment.
• Strong interest in student engagement, community service, and holistic medicine.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to participate in accreditation and program evaluation processes.
