The Physician Assistant will support medical activities within VHC Health Physicians, working under a collaborative agreement with physicians. The role involves providing patient care, adhering to documentation and prescriptive standards, and contributing to quality and risk management initiatives. The position requires licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Support medical activities and patient care in accordance with the APP agreement and collaborating physician(s).
• Complete documentation responsibilities accurately and timely.
• Adhere to prescriptive authority and procedural privileges as outlined in the APP agreement.
• Implement quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs.
• Support objectives related to budget and performance metrics.
• Participate in evaluation and continuous improvement processes.
• Maintain licensure, certification, and certifications such as BLS and ACLS (preferred).
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.

Compensation

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of Physician Assistant experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a variable schedule environment.
