The University of Colorado Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, is seeking a full-time Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide specialized anesthesia care for pediatric patients at Children’s Hospital Colorado. The role involves clinical anesthesia delivery, documentation, patient transport, and participation in teaching activities within an academic medical environment. The position is based onsite in Aurora, Colorado, and includes faculty responsibilities and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs, drug administration, procedures, and relevant events during anesthesia following documentation guidelines.
• Transport patients safely to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and provide brief reports to PACU nurses.
• Maintain accurate progress notes on patients throughout perioperative care.
• Assist in delivering and documenting pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative anesthesia care under supervision of attending anesthesiologists.
• Provide anesthesia services in operating rooms, procedure centers, radiology, and special procedure areas as needed.
• Contribute to departmental teaching and educational activities as a faculty member of the School of Medicine.
• Collaborate with anesthesia team, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and billing requirements.

Compensation

• Salary range: $225,000 - $253,575 (W-2), based on experience and qualifications.
• Compensation model includes salary plus incentives.
• Sign-on bonus of $30,000.
