Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position in Frederick, MD, offering full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts across day, swing, and night schedules. The role involves managing patients in the observation unit, including admitting, rounding, and discharging, within a fast-paced hospital environment. The team collaborates closely with hospital staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Admit, round, and discharge patients in the observation unit.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with variable and changing conditions.
• Participate as part of the hospitalist team in rapid response efforts.
• Collaborate with intensivist team managing codes.
• Utilize Meditech Expand electronic health record system for documentation.
• Handle shifts scheduled from 7 am to 7 pm, 11 am to 11 pm, 3 pm to 3 am, and 7 pm to 7 am, depending on the role.
• Maintain certification in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.
• No procedural requirements are necessary for this role.

Compensation

• Salary ranges from $140,000 to $165,000 annually, depending on shift and incentives.
• Incentives include productivity bonuses.
• Compensation is structured as salary plus incentives, with a tax status of 1099.

Requirements
