Physician Assistant

A full-time Medical Oncology Physician Assistant position in Upstate New York, working within a hospital-based cancer center. The role involves providing outpatient oncology care in a well-established clinic with a multidisciplinary team, offering a Monday through Friday daytime schedule with no call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient medical oncology care to patients in a hospital-affiliated cancer center.
• Collaborate with a team of board-certified oncologists, nurses, and support staff.
• Manage patient assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Assist with procedures and infusion therapies in the dedicated infusion suite.
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care coordination.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Support patient education and counseling as needed.

Compensation

• $150,000 base salary
• Sign-on bonus of $10,000

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS/MHS/MMSc/MPH or equivalent).
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Experience or interest in medical oncology preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Licensure to practice in New York State.
• BLS certification required; OCN certification preferred.
• No call or weekend work required.
• Willingness to work Monday through Friday, dayshift schedule.
