The Northeast Medical Group in Niantic, CT, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to join a busy, collegial primary care practice. The provider will conduct health assessments, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and manage acute and chronic conditions within a collaborative environment affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Prescribe medications, order therapies, and manage medical devices according to state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Evaluate and manage common acute illnesses and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma.
  • Perform minor office procedures within scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care and document encounters accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and serve as a resource for medical staff and educational activities.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range of $120,000 to $148,000, based on experience.
  • W-2 employment with a productivity-based (wRVU) bonus plan.
  • Sign-on bonus and quality incentives.

  • Unrestricted CT medical license or in the process of obtaining.
  • ACLS/BLS/PALS certification as required.
  • DEA license.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse patient panel across all age groups.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records, specifically Epic preferred.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality care.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 7am-4pm, with a four-day workweek option.
