Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) to join the Primary Care outpatient team at Piedmont Newton hospital campus in Covington, GA. The role involves providing comprehensive medical services, including health promotion, acute and chronic disease management, and supporting physicians in patient care. The APP will collaborate with internal medicine providers to serve a diverse patient panel in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services to individuals, families, and groups in an outpatient setting.
• Emphasize health promotion, as well as management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Support physicians by augmenting their ability to deliver patient care.
• Collect and document patient data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and professional consultations.
• Provide direct patient care services in collaboration with internal medicine providers.
• Work within a team to manage a patient panel effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols.

Requirements

• Masters or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• National Board Certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a PA in Georgia.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and health promotion.
• Experience in outpatient primary care preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EPIC preferred).
