OhioHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with an oncology background to join their growing oncology program. The role involves inpatient care with opportunities to cross-cover clinic settings, supporting the mission to improve community health. The position offers a flexible schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week and includes a CME stipend, with a focus on collaborative patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient oncology care and participate in cross-covering clinic duties as needed.
• Work a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week with variable days and hours.
• Collaborate with a team of physicians and advanced practice providers in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Support the mission of improving community health through patient-centered care.
• Participate in electronic medical record documentation and electronic prescribing.
• Cover 1:4 weekends and three night shifts per month.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training as required.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the oncology program.

Compensation

• Value-based compensation model with additional income through CME allowance.
• $7,500 CME stipend included.
• W-2 tax status.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Includes 1:4 weekend coverage and three night shifts per month.
• Schedule days and hours are variable and may change based on operational needs.

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio.
• Experience in oncology or a related specialty preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in inpatient care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to cross-covering clinic responsibilities.
• Comfort with electronic medical records and electronic prescribing systems.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, including nights and weekends.
• Prior experience in oncology is preferred but not mandatory.
