The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the Inpatient Oncology Department at James Cancer Hospital. The role involves providing comprehensive inpatient care to patients with solid tumor malignancies, including acute illness management, chemotherapy administration, and care coordination, in a collaborative, team-based environment. Responsibilities

  • Manage inpatient chemotherapy treatments and clinical trial protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with Oncology Hospitalists and Medical Oncologists.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented, top-of-license practice environment with ongoing learning opportunities.

Compensation

  • Salary plus incentives, including differential pay.
  • Compensation is provided through a W-2 tax status.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

  • Current certification to practice as an APRN in Ohio or eligibility for Ohio licensure as a PA-C.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or PA program recognized by relevant certifying bodies.
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent for Nurse Practitioners; PA-C certification for Physician Assistants.
  • One year of acute care or hospitalist experience preferred.
  • Additional certification in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is preferred.
  • Experience with inpatient care, chemotherapy, or oncology is advantageous.
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, with operational flexibility.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in oncology inpatient care.
