The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide occupational and non-occupational healthcare services at a site in Manassas, VA, including first aid, medical treatment, health screenings, immunizations, and case management. The role involves clinic management, maintaining health records, and client communication, with an emphasis on compliance with privacy and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-aid, medical treatment, and follow-up for occupationally ill/injured workers and non-occupational care in accordance with standards and laws.
• Perform regulatory testing, immunizations, blood draws, drug testing, and wellness screenings such as biometric testing and flu shots.
• Coordinate employee health screening, surveillance programs, travel vaccinations, and return-to-work clearances.
• Manage case follow-up for injuries, illnesses, and absences, and provide employee counseling on risk reduction.
• Work with ergonomists to resolve ergonomic issues and write prescriptions as needed.
• Maintain accurate employee health records, databases, and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client management and safety personnel, providing timely and accurate reports.
• Communicate regularly with the Medical Director and WorkCare Supervisor regarding clinic operations and client requests.

Compensation

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Virginia with national certification.
• Current DEA license.
• Current ACLS/BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years' advanced practice experience; occupational medicine experience preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality of health information.
• Proficiency in data gathering, report preparation, and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with regular attendance and punctuality.
