The Austin Anesthesiology Group is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) to provide anesthesia services across multiple hospitals and outpatient centers in Austin, TX. The role involves performing pre-anesthesia assessments, discussing options with patients, and managing anesthesia during various surgical procedures within a care team model. Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks with patients
• Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor patients' physiological conditions throughout procedures
• Perform clinical interventions as needed during anesthesia care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including anesthesiologists and CRNAs
• Support a care team model focused on delivering high-quality anesthesia services
• Participate in professional development and team leadership opportunities

Compensation

• Salary range: $200,000 to $260,000 based on experience
• Sign-on bonus: $75,000
• Additional income opportunities include sign-on bonus, loan repayment, CME allowance, and leadership stipends
• Tax status: W-2 employment

Requirements

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program
• Compliance with American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants licensure guidelines
• Ability to perform pre-anesthesia assessments and patient education
• Experience with a variety of surgical cases including general, trauma, OB, neuro, and EP
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work variable schedules including 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
• Willingness to participate in call and overtime as needed
• Current licensure or certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant
• Commitment to delivering safe, patient-centered anesthesia care
