Fairweather LLC is seeking Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to provide acute and occupational medical care at remote sites across Alaska. The role involves managing minor illnesses, emergencies, trauma, and coordinating patient transport, with responsibilities including diagnostics, medication prescribing, and maintaining medical records. Positions are project-based with rotational schedules, offering extensive time off and travel logistics covered by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute and occupational medical care, including minor illnesses, emergencies, and trauma management.
• Direct triage, patient transport, and oversee medical response during mass casualty incidents.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in accordance with collaborative agreements with supervising physicians.
• Prescribe and dispense pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances, within scope and regulatory guidelines.
• Determine the need for emergency air evacuation and coordinate patient transfers to medical centers in Anchorage and Fairbanks.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures such as laboratory tests and electrocardiograms as required.
• Refer patients to consulting physicians when necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical records and complete required documentation according to policies and standards.

Compensation

• USD 800.00 per day, with pay depending on client and project specifics.

Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license with Alaska State licensure.
• Certification from NCCPA or AANP.
• Active DEA license.
• 3-5 years of experience in family, internal medicine, or emergency medicine.
• 2 years of remote medical experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; ATLS preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA first aid policies.
• Valid driver's license.
