UNC Health Appalachian is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join its Oncology Program within a regional cancer center in Boone, North Carolina. The role involves collaborative patient care in a team-oriented environment, with a focus on oncology or primary care, and offers a stable schedule with no call or weekend duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the Oncology Program, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Manage patient assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and order entry.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care coordination.
• Contribute to patient education and support services.
• Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and standards.
• Engage in continuing medical education and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support the overall goals of the regional cancer program.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Experience in Oncology or Primary Care is highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system is a plus.
• Strong communication and patient management skills.
• Current licensure and certification as an APP (NP or PA).
• Commitment to patient-centered care.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient oncology setting is advantageous.
• Willingness to work a four-day workweek with no call or weekend shifts.
• BLS and ACLS certifications as required.
