This is a critical care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position in a Cardiac ICU setting, involving advanced cardiovascular procedures, post-operative cardiac transplant and LVAD management, and patient rounding. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on high-acuity cardiac care.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced cardiovascular procedures including VA & VV ECMO, Impella, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan-Ganz catheter placement.
- Manage post-operative cardiac transplant and LVAD patients.
- Conduct daily patient rounding and management in a Cardiac ICU setting.
- Handle 8 to 12 patient encounters per shift.
- Participate in post-operative cardiac transplant and LVAD management.
- Perform procedures such as arterial line, central line, and Swan-Ganz catheter placement.
- Work in a setting that includes nights, weekends, and holidays with variable shifts.
- Provide critical care in a high-acuity environment requiring board certification.
Compensation
- Hourly rate from $80.00 to $115.00, based on experience and qualifications.
- Includes relocation support and covers licensing and malpractice costs.
- Compensation is on a 1099 tax basis.

Shift & Schedule
- Variable schedule with shifts of 13 hours, including days (7am - 8pm) and nights (7pm - 8am).

Requirements
- Board certified in critical care.
- Experience with advanced cardiovascular procedures including VA & VV ECMO and Impella.
- Proficiency in managing post-operative cardiac transplant and LVAD patients.
- Ability to perform arterial lines, central lines, and Swan-Ganz catheter placements.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong patient management and rounding skills.
- Experience in a Cardiac ICU setting preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical care skills.
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
- Current licensure and credentialing in the relevant state.
