We are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our OB-GYN Department within a physician-led, patient-centric healthcare network. The role involves providing full-scope midwifery care, including prenatal care, deliveries at Hartford Hospital, patient counseling, diagnostic procedures, and medication management. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive prenatal care for low-risk obstetric patients.
• Perform deliveries at Hartford Hospital with access to a level 4 NICU.
• Manage labor and delivery, including one in five call duties.
• Initiate diagnostic procedures, interpret laboratory, radiological, and fetal heart rate data.
• Counsel and educate OB-GYN patients regarding their care.
• Prescribe medications and controlled substances as permitted by CT law.
• Document all patient encounters thoroughly, including history, exams, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
• Assist and triage patients calling with OB-GYN concerns, including screening for postpartum depression.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Midwifery program with certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board.
• Valid Connecticut nursing license.
• Experience as a CNM is preferred; labor and delivery experience is a plus.
• New graduates with labor and delivery experience are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to perform pelvic and cervical exams, interpret fetal monitoring, and manage OB-GYN patient care.
• Strong clinical documentation skills.
