Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA, is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to provide patient care in a busy community hospital emergency department. The role involves direct patient assessment and treatment under clinical supervision, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department for evaluated and treated patients.
• Utilize laboratory data, radiographic studies, and therapeutic interventions to coordinate patient care.
• Work under the supervision of the Chief of Emergency Services or their designee.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, hospitalists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently in a fast-paced emergency setting.
• Operate clinical equipment proficiently and accurately document patient encounters.
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Maintain current licensure and certifications, including BLS/ACLS, and adhere to hospital policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital-based emergency department or 1-year emergency medicine residency.
• Current license as a Physician Assistant in Massachusetts or ability to obtain licensure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in operating clinical equipment and technology.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with adults and children.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
