The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) at Sterling Health Solutions provides women’s health services, including obstetric, gynecological, family planning, and STI care, under the supervision of a staff OBGYN and the Chief Medical Officer. The role involves managing patient care, collaborating with physicians, and participating in quality improvement activities across multiple clinic sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate individual patient care, including obstetric and gynecological services.

  • Obtain hospital privileges at CHI St. Joseph Mt. Sterling.
  • Participate in the OBGYN call schedule with backup from physicians.
  • Engage in staff meetings, in-services, and quality improvement activities.
  • Interpret laboratory and diagnostic data to inform patient care.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in examining, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.

  • Physical ability to perform extensive standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality improvement processes.
  • Willingness to work in a clinical environment with exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
