Anesthesia Assistant position at a Level 1 Trauma Hospital, supporting inpatient and outpatient procedures across multiple departments. The role involves night shifts on weekends, with responsibilities including assisting in various surgical and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. The position offers a 6-month contract with potential for ongoing employment, and travel and lodging expenses are covered.
Responsibilities
- Assist anesthesia providers in inpatient and outpatient procedures across departments such as endoscopy, ERCP, GYN, ENT, dental, plastics, urology, ortho, trauma, neuro, and spine.
- Support anesthesia care for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
- Work 13-hour night shifts on weekends with no call responsibilities.
- Maintain appropriate supervision ratios, typically 1:2 or 1:4, depending on the department.
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and care quality.
- Support trauma and emergency procedures in a Level 1 Trauma setting.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and standards for anesthesia assistance.
Compensation
- $2,300 - $2,500 per day

Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited master's level anesthesia program recognized by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- Current license to practice anesthesia assistance (licensing to be provided by the client).
- Trauma experience is required.
- Ability to work night shifts on weekends.
- Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Willingness to travel and work at the specified facility.
- Credentialing process expected to take 90-120 days.
