Memorial Healthcare System's Neuroscience Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient and outpatient neurointerventional and stroke-related care. The role involves responding to stroke alerts, conducting rounds, managing pre- and post-procedure patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of neuroscience specialists. The position offers a full-time schedule with night shifts, rotating weekends and holidays, and competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Respond to stroke alerts and participate in neurointerventional patient care.
• Conduct daily rounds on patients undergoing neurointervention procedures.
• Manage pre- and post-procedure care for neurointerventional patients.
• Write consultation notes and document patient care activities.
• Provide evidence-based healthcare in outpatient settings under physician supervision.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of neuroscience specialists.
• Respond to emergency neurovascular situations as part of the care team.
• Maintain certifications and licensure as required for the role.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule with primarily night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA accredited program or national Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• Physician Assistant Certification or Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Florida medical license valid at the time of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ENLS certification required within one year of employment.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.
• Experience or training in neurointerventional or stroke care preferred.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
