The Nurse Practitioner position involves providing preventive medical and health services to individuals aged 18-25 at My Friends Place and My Safe Space. This part-time role includes managing patient care, conducting assessments, and coordinating medical services for a homeless population, with a flexible schedule based on client needs.
Responsibilities
- Treat injuries and illnesses, administer medications and immunizations, and monitor patients.
- Ensure ongoing healthcare for clients, identify health problems, and provide care or referrals to prevent serious health issues.
- Review and monitor staff medication documentation and ensure proper medication storage.
- Consult with staff to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement patient care plans.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab work for medication assessments and physicals.
- Coordinate the implementation and administration of medical services, policies, and programs.
Compensation

Requirements
- RN license and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Completion of an NP-focused graduate master's or doctoral nursing program.
- Successful passing of a national NP board certification exam.
- Experience in a human services or social services setting, particularly with homeless populations.
- Nurse Practitioner experience.
- Certified in AED/CPR and First Aid.
- Flexibility to work variable schedule based on client availability.
- Ability to treat injuries, illnesses, and perform assessments.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with staff and clients.
- Knowledge of medical policies and procedures relevant to outpatient care.
