The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide full-scope, hospital-based midwifery care at the Women's Health Center within a modern Critical Access Hospital in Chanute, Kansas. The role involves delivering prenatal, delivery, postpartum, well-woman, and family planning services, working collaboratively with OB/GYNs and family physicians in a rural community setting that emphasizes personalized care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive midwifery care including prenatal, delivery, postpartum, well-woman, and family planning services.
  • Collaborate with a team of OB/GYNs and family physicians to provide obstetric care.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an educational and training program for Certified Nurse Midwife.
  • Current certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or American College of Nurse Midwives Certification Council.
  • Active Kansas Nurse Midwife (APRN/NMW) license or ability to obtain licensure in Kansas.
  • Current DEA license.
  • Experience or training in hospital-based midwifery care preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing personalized, patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of obstetric and women's health practices.
