The provider will deliver comprehensive gastrointestinal healthcare services to adult patients in both hospital and outpatient settings. The role involves direct patient care, clinical supervision, and effective communication with healthcare team members, with documentation maintained via EMR. The position requires appropriate licensure and certification, with prescriptive authority to be obtained if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to GI patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform and supervise clinical procedures using multiple modalities in both settings.
• Communicate effectively with providers, patients, nurses, and support staff verbally, in writing, and via EMR.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation.
• Support office clinical staff regarding patient care and educational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science (for PA candidates).
• Current Physician Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania and NCCPA certification (for PA candidates).
• Prescriptive authority, with a 30-day window to obtain if not already licensed.
• Current CPR and BLS certification.
• Masters of Nursing degree from an accredited institution (for NP candidates).
• Pennsylvania licensure as CRNP, RN, or with prescriptive authority.
• Board certified or eligible Nurse Practitioner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team.
• Experience providing GI patient care preferred.
• Ability to work in inpatient and outpatient settings.
