The University of Colorado Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, is seeking a full-time Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients at Children’s Hospital Colorado. The role involves clinical responsibilities across various hospital settings, teaching, and collaboration with healthcare teams. The position is based onsite in Aurora, Colorado, with a focus on delivering high-quality pediatric anesthesia services within an academic environment.

Responsibilities

• Record relevant events during anesthesia administration, including vital signs, drug administration, and procedures performed, following established documentation guidelines.
• Safely transport patients to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and provide brief reports on anesthesia care to PACU nurses.
• Maintain progress notes on patients.
• Comply with departmental requirements for billing purposes.
• Assist in delivering and documenting pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care under the supervision of attending anesthesiologists.
• Provide anesthesia services in operating rooms, procedure centers, radiology, and special procedure areas as needed.
• Contribute to teaching and educational activities within the Department of Anesthesiology and the School of Medicine.
• Collaborate with anesthesia department staff, nursing, and other healthcare professionals, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.

Compensation

• $220,000 - $253,575 salary range.
• Total compensation includes a sign-on bonus of $30,000 (paid over 3 years) and a relocation support of $10,000.
• Compensation is based on experience, education, and training, with a W-2 tax status.
