This is a full-time Physician Assistant position specializing in Neurosurgery in Northeast Tennessee. The role involves evaluating and treating patients in outpatient and inpatient settings, performing minor procedures, inpatient rounding, and assisting in surgeries within a Level I Trauma Center. The practice is part of a comprehensive neurosurgery team serving a large regional population, with access to advanced neurotechnology and a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings.
• Perform minor procedures such as injections and aspirations.
• Conduct inpatient rounding and bedside procedures.
• Assist surgeons during neurosurgical procedures as a First Assist.
• Participate in a rotating call schedule with other PAs at a Level I Trauma Center.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurosurgeons, neuro ICU staff, and critical care specialists.
• Utilize advanced neurotechnology and imaging tools in patient care.
• Provide care for a predominantly adult patient population.

Requirements

• Licensed Physician Assistant with current certification.
• Experience or interest in neurosurgery preferred.
• Ability to perform minor procedures and inpatient rounding.
• Comfort working in a high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
