Wave Health Partners is seeking a certified Anesthesiology Assistant for a locum contract at multiple affiliated sites in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves providing anesthesia support in a Level 1 Trauma facility, covering both inpatient and outpatient cases, with a focus on orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and occasional pediatric procedures. The position offers a full-time schedule during weekdays with no weekend or on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with anesthesia administration for inpatient and outpatient cases, including orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and pediatric procedures.
• Provide anesthesia support in a Level 1 Trauma setting across multiple hospital sites.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner EMR system.
• Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards during all procedures.
• Participate in preoperative assessments and post-anesthesia care as needed.
• Ensure compliance with certification and licensing requirements.
• Support the anesthesia team during scheduled shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Compensation

• $250 per hour (tax status: 1099)
• Rate includes travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.

Requirements

• Current certification as an Anesthesiology Assistant, having passed the Certifying Examination or CDQ examination.
• Master’s degree from a CAAHEP-accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program.
• Active Indiana state license or eligibility for licensure via IMLC.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Previous experience in anesthesia support preferred but not explicitly required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Availability to work full-time weekdays, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• No weekend or on-call duties required.
