The Trauma Physician Assistant (PA) at District Medical Group (DMG) will support the Trauma and Surgical Critical Care teams at Valleywise Health Medical Center. The PA will perform patient evaluations, assist in clinical decision-making, and participate in teaching residents, contributing to high-quality trauma care in a hospital setting. Candidates must have completed Acute Care training.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through history and physical examinations in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Enter patient orders as directed by the attending surgeon.
• Review and discuss medical imaging and laboratory results with the healthcare team and patients as appropriate.
• Document daily patient notes and participate in team rounds.
• Assist in the teaching and supervision of residents and medical staff.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, and hospital staff to deliver comprehensive trauma care.
• Support the Trauma team in patient management and care planning.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and educational activities.
