Join our shared care anesthesia team, providing a diverse range of anesthetic services including spinal, regional, arterial, and central lines for various surgical specialties such as orthopedics, neuro, ENT, GU, GYN, podiatry, robotics, GI, and healthy pediatric cases. Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Perform regional techniques, arterial lines, and central lines as needed.
• Participate in a shared care anesthesia model with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
• Cover scheduled cases and provide anesthesia support during assigned shifts.
• Engage in occasional teaching or adjunct instructor opportunities at Kansas City University.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Participate in scheduled weekend home call shifts, with a rotation system for weekend coverage.
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment with supportive colleagues.

Compensation

• Base salary of $250,000 per year.
• Additional income opportunities including sign-on bonus or CME allowance.

• CME stipend of $50,000 for a 3-year commitment or a $25,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year commitment.

Shift & Schedule

• Six-week rotation with a mix of 10- and 12-hour day shifts.
• One weekend included in each six-week cycle, with a full week off prior to the weekend.
• Weekend shifts are home call, 12 hours each.
• Three weekend call positions rotated among providers; third call rarely requires call-in.
• Approximately 14-16 weeks off per year, including 6-8 weeks of vacation of your choice.
• Schedule includes a mix of day shifts and at-home call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Certified or eligible for certification in anesthesiology.
• New graduates and experienced anesthesiologists are welcome to apply.
• Ability to perform a wide range of anesthetic techniques including regional and general anesthesia.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
• Willingness to participate in weekend call rotations.
• Licensure in the state or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Prior experience with diverse surgical cases is preferred but not required.
• Interest in teaching or academic involvement is a plus.
