Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist

This assignment involves providing coverage for general, orthopedic, GI, neurology, ENT, urology, and robotics procedures with limited pediatric cases (age 2+). The role includes call coverage with a pager, primarily during daytime hours, and offers PRN opportunities. The employer handles credentialing, housing, and travel arrangements, with a focus on a smooth onboarding process.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for a variety of surgical and procedural cases, including orthopedic, GI, neurology, ENT, urology, and robotics procedures.
• Manage limited pediatric cases for patients aged 2 and above.
• Participate in call coverage with a pager, primarily during daytime hours.
• Maintain availability for PRN coverage as needed.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure seamless patient care during assigned shifts.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and documentation requirements.
• Utilize provided online portal for assignment details and time entry.
• Collaborate with the staffing team to ensure proper coverage and communication.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm.
• Day shift hours with call coverage via pager.
• Call coverage required, primarily during daytime hours.

Requirements

• Medical license in the relevant state(s).
• Board certification or eligibility in the appropriate specialty.
• Experience with general, orthopedic, GI, neurology, ENT, urology, or robotics procedures preferred.
• Ability to manage limited pediatric cases (age 2+).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability for call coverage with a pager during scheduled shifts.
• Comfort with PRN and on-call responsibilities.
• Proficiency in documentation and online portal usage.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, dayshift schedule.
