A locum physician assistant or nurse practitioner is sought to provide emergency medicine coverage at a 25-bed Level III Trauma Center in Hermiston, Oregon. The role involves 12-hour shifts, including day and night coverage, with oversight responsibilities during daytime hours. The position offers ongoing assignment until a permanent provider is hired.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine coverage in a Level III Trauma Center with approximately 21,500 annual ED visits.
• Work 12-hour shifts, including day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) shifts, with variable scheduling and call duties.
• Manage patients with a daily census of 15-18 in an open ICU setting.
• Collaborate with the physician during daytime hours, including co-signing and addend notes.
• Perform clinical duties within scope, excluding intubation and central line placement.
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient management.
• Provide care in a hospital environment with open ICU and Level III trauma designation.
• Respond to variable call requirements as part of the shift schedule.

Requirements
