The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Geriatrics to provide primary care services within an ambulatory care setting. The role involves clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients across all ages, collaborating with an interprofessional team to deliver comprehensive healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to patients with various medical conditions, including examination, diagnosis, prevention, and development of treatment plans.
• Order and review laboratory tests as needed to support patient care.
• Participate actively in a multidisciplinary team focused on primary care delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members including physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, social workers, and specialists.
• Document all care provided accurately and promptly within an electronic health record system.

Compensation

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five years of related clinical experience.

• Ability to practice within the scope of licensure, training, and credentials.
• Competency in primary care delivery and team-based care models (preferred).
• Ability to care for a diverse patient population.
• Strong documentation skills in electronic health records.
• Physical ability to perform clinical duties, including lifting up to 20 pounds and moving in various positions.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment (if applicable).
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
