Indiana University Health is seeking full-time Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) for locum coverage at two regional hospitals. The roles involve working in collaborative care teams across diverse surgical specialties, with consistent weekday schedules and no call responsibilities. The positions offer exposure to a variety of cases in modern hospital settings, with flexible start dates.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia support for general surgery, orthopedics, GI/endoscopy, cardiology (cath lab), and minimally invasive procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams in a hospital environment.
• Manage anesthesia care in a Level 3 Trauma Center and outpatient surgical settings.
• Work scheduled weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Maintain compliance with certification and licensing requirements, including ACLS and BLS.
• Practice under the supervision of an anesthesiologist; DEA not required.
• Participate in a collegial anesthesia care team model with medical direction.
• Complete credentialing process approximately 3-4 weeks.

Compensation

• $1,800 - $1,900 per day
• Tax status: 1099 independent contractor

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday, dayshift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• No call responsibilities required
• Flexible start date; candidates should submit availability

Requirements

• Active Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) certification.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification.
• Board passing or certification status (new grads welcome).
• Ability to work independently within a team environment.
• DEA not required for practice under anesthesiologist license.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work in a hospital setting with diverse surgical cases.
• Credentialing eligibility within approximately 3-4 weeks.
