The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide advanced neonatal care within the NICU at Grant Medical Center and Doctors Hospital. The role involves managing patient care, supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The position is full-time, based on a 40-hour workweek, with benefits eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide clinical expertise in patient management and staff supervision within the NICU.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and emergency preparedness protocols.
• Assess neonatal patients and/or populations; develop, implement, and evaluate care plans; document and communicate clinical information.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines.
• Serve as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills based on evidence-based practice.
• Assist in education, training, and professional development of staff members.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, data collection, and staying informed of unit changes.
• Utilize technology and informatics to improve healthcare outcomes.

Requirements

• Master of Science degree or equivalent.
• Licensed as an APRN or Physician Assistant in Ohio.
• Maintains national certification as an APRN or PA in the appropriate population focus.
• Neonatal or NICU experience required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass motor vehicle background and driving qualifications.
• Current Ohio Advanced Practice License.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
