This position involves providing primary health care, disease management, and holistic patient care within a clinical setting, operating under supervision in accordance with Ohio Board of Nursing regulations. The role includes medical evaluations, treatment planning, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare team members to promote health and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform medical evaluations, initial and follow-up care for injuries and illnesses, and interpret laboratory tests and examinations.
  • Order and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Apply local anesthetic, examine and clean wounds, incise and drain abscesses, and suture wounds.
  • Document findings during examinations in accordance with department standards for review by supervising physicians.
  • Develop and implement care plans using current best practices, including chronic illness management and anticoagulation therapy.
  • Coordinate with primary care physicians and specialists, and participate in patient education and health promotion activities.
  • Assist in quality assurance, participate in policy development, and support continuous education initiatives.
  • Contribute to a team environment, communicate effectively with staff and patients, and support departmental projects.
