The Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) at Argonne National Laboratory seeks an Assistant Scientist to lead and support research at the intersection of AI/ML, data infrastructure, autonomous systems, and materials science. The role involves developing data-driven methodologies to accelerate materials discovery, supporting user projects, and collaborating with internal and external researchers.   • Support end-users with HPC operations, workflow optimization, software installation, and job scheduling.
  • Collaborate with internal and external researchers to drive innovation in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
  • Mentor postdoctoral researchers, research staff, students, and technical personnel.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to hardware, cloud services, and support infrastructure.

Compensation

  • Salary range from USD 90,063 to USD 143,010 per year.
