The Nurse Practitioner will provide medical services in an outpatient addiction treatment setting, collaborating with a licensed physician to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. The role involves patient education, participation in training, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards to deliver high-quality, comprehensive care for individuals recovering from substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and conduct professional development activities related to medical treatment of substance use disorders.
• Participate in required trainings and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and accreditation standards.
• Develop and present educational content on medical topics relevant to addiction treatment and general health.
• Perform medical services within the scope of education, training, and expertise.
• Ensure medical quality standards are met for both patients and staff.
• Contribute medical input to program philosophy, treatment services, and patient care strategies.
• Respond to emergency care providers' consultations regarding program patients.
• Collaborate with other physicians, clinics, or hospitals involved in patient treatment.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Active state licensure (FNP, APRN, CNP, PMHNP).
• D.E.A. licensure as required.
• 3 to 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in an addiction treatment setting preferred.
• Knowledge of drug and alcohol abuse, addiction, and current treatment practices.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with patients and team members.
• Understanding of medical quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
