Aspire Indiana Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide behavioral health services and medication management to adult patients in an outpatient setting. The role involves conducting assessments, prescribing and monitoring medications, ordering laboratory tests, and collaborating with the medical team. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and crisis intervention skills within a community-focused nonprofit environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health care services and medication management to adult patients in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct physical assessments and medical evaluations.
• Prescribe and monitor medications according to diagnoses, symptoms, and guidelines.
• Order laboratory tests, review results, and make necessary treatment adjustments.
• Administer injections as needed.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of the medical services team.
• Maintain high safety standards and demonstrate crisis and emergency intervention skills.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and clinical protocols.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license with Prescriptive Authority recognized by the State of Indiana.
• Current DEA certificate and Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through ANCC or equivalent.
• Knowledge of DSM and crisis/emergency intervention techniques.
• Experience providing behavioral health services in an outpatient setting preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and teaching skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
• Background checks including drug screen, TB test, and extensive criminal and professional history verification.
