The Bone & Joint Center in Bismarck, ND is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to deliver comprehensive orthopedic assessment and treatment. The role involves evaluating patients, performing procedures, assisting in surgeries, and providing urgent care services within a multidisciplinary team. The provider reports to the CEO and works Monday through Friday with required call duties.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through comprehensive history and physical exams, and develop treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Order and interpret radiologic studies and laboratory tests to aid diagnosis.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including wound care, joint injections, aspirations, and fracture reductions.
• Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgical procedures.
• Provide patient and family education on the use of braces, splints, and other durable medical equipment.
• Document patient encounters thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Respond to physician and nursing requests, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and medication safety protocols.

Compensation

• Salary range: $48.00 to $72.00 per hour, with specific rates between $55.29 and $72.12 per hour.
• Compensation is provided via W-2 employment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Unencumbered licensure and credentials in North Dakota.
• BLS Certification and DEA registration.
• Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy, conditions, and common medications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work calmly in busy or stressful situations.
• Experience with orthopedic procedures such as casting, splinting, wound assessment, and drain management preferred.
• Motivated to provide high-quality orthopedic care.
• Proficient with office equipment and electronic medical records.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff and patients.
