The Physician Assistant (PA) at Avera's Pipestone Family Clinic provides comprehensive medical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health education. Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients according to approved protocols and standards of practice.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with physicians in assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as authorized and licensed.
• Interpret diagnostic information and consult with physicians on abnormal findings.
• Ensure appropriate referrals and follow-up for patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and environmental standards in patient care.

Compensation

• $95,243 to $137,363 annual salary (W-2).

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time schedule with variable days and shifts.
• Primarily dayshift hours with on-call responsibilities.
• On-call schedule of 1:6, including weekdays and weekends.

Requirements

• Licensed and qualified Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of practice, certified by NCCPA.
• Must hold a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) in the state of practice.
• Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Visual acuity sufficient to perform clinical duties.
• Ability to work variable schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays on-call.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to safety standards.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards (CMS, OSHA, The Joint Commission).
• Experience in primary care or outpatient settings preferred.
• Ability to interpret clinical data and collaborate with physicians for patient management.
