The Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care in both outpatient and hospital settings. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, surgical assistance, hospital rounding, and participating in on-call duties, all in accordance with established protocols and state regulations. The role involves patient and family education and requires flexibility to support surgical procedures and hospital duties.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in clinic and hospital settings.
• Assist with surgical procedures and participate in hospital rounding.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and care.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as required.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
• Follow established protocols and comply with state practice regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (Epic EMR).
• Support perioperative activities as RNFA certified in the operating room.

Compensation

• Hourly rate ranging from $53.59 to $80.39, based on experience and qualifications.
• Additional compensation options include sign-on bonus, relocation support, and CME allowance.

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; hours may vary on surgery days.
• Day shift with on-call responsibilities required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Unencumbered RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses in New York State or valid PA license.
• Current CPR certification; biannual renewal required.
• National certification in specialty care (for Nurse Practitioners).
• RNFA certification for Nurse Practitioners assisting in surgery.
• Valid DEA certificate.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a surgical practice setting preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a stressful environment.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
