Breathe Birth and Wellness in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive maternity care in a freestanding birth center. The role involves supporting natural childbirth, managing prenatal through postpartum care, and handling potential labor complications in a homelike setting. The candidate will join a dedicated team committed to holistic, individualized care and promoting wellness for women and families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care to expectant mothers in a birth center setting.
  • Support natural childbirth and manage potential labor complications as needed.
  • Perform wellness exams and monitor maternal and fetal health.
  • Educate and empower women through informed decision-making during pregnancy and birth.
  • Handle emergency situations during labor and delivery with appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with a team of midwives and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
  • Participate in shared 24-hour rotating call schedule among four midwives.
  • Contribute to creating a supportive, homelike environment for patients.

Compensation

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

  • Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) license in Oklahoma or eligible for licensure.
  • Experience in out-of-hospital births preferred; new graduates with OB/GYN experience considered.
  • Comfortable managing natural childbirth and handling emergencies during labor.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide compassionate care.
  • Experience with wellness exams and prenatal/postpartum care.
  • Flexibility to work variable clinic shifts and participate in rotating call schedule.
  • Proficiency in managing obstetric emergencies and providing patient education.
  • Interest in holistic, patient-centered maternity care.
  • Previous experience in a birth center or similar setting is a plus.
