The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedics team at the Alaska Native Medical Center. The role involves managing inpatient and outpatient orthopedic patients, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medications, developing treatment plans, and participating in surgical first assist rotations. Requirements

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
  • Certification by an approved national certifying body.
  • Current DEA certification.
  • State of Alaska Advanced Practice Provider License.
  • 2 to 5 years of post-graduate experience managing orthopedic patients (preferred).
  • Strong clinical skills and interest in orthopedics.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexible team player with cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 4 ten-hour days.
  • Experience with inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care is preferred.
