Physician Assistant - Neurology Stroke Center

The Hartford HealthCare Ayer Neuroscience Institute is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its stroke program. The role involves providing advanced practice care for patients with neurological and cerebrovascular disorders, participating in multidisciplinary team management, and supporting comprehensive stroke and neurology care under the supervision of attending physicians. Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective advanced practice care for patients with neurological and cerebrovascular disorders.
• Participate in medical management to achieve or maintain optimal health, manage disease, and reduce illness risk.
• Engage in independent decision-making regarding patient care across the lifespan and healthcare continuum.
• Collaborate with neurology physicians, rehabilitation teams, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist in the management of conditions such as stroke, brain tumors, aneurysms, carotid artery disease, and other nervous system disorders.
• Complete extensive onboarding and training in stroke care, medication management, neuroradiology, physical examinations, and treatment planning.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary care planning and delivery under physician supervision.
• Maintain compliance with certification and licensure requirements.
