This locum APP position in Michigan involves providing advanced practice provider services in a hospital setting, with responsibilities including bedside procedures and assisting with deliveries. The assignment runs from December to June with potential for extension, offering a 7-day on/7-day off schedule and 24-hour call coverage.
Responsibilities
- Perform bedside procedures such as chest tube placement, central and arterial line insertions, suturing, and assist with bedside tracheostomy and PEG tube placements.
- Manage a low-volume patient caseload, approximately 300-400 deliveries annually.
- Collaborate with a supervising physician to deliver patient care.
- Provide coverage during scheduled 7-day shifts with 24-hour call responsibilities.
- Ensure patient safety and quality care during assigned shifts.
- Maintain documentation and adhere to hospital protocols.
- Participate in team communication and handoffs as required.
- Support hospital operations within scope of practice and hospital policies.
Compensation
- Compensation model: Other (1099 tax status).

Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in relevant specialty.
- Current Michigan medical license.

- Willingness to work a 7 on/7 off schedule with 24-hour call.
- Comfort with low-volume obstetric and hospital-based care.
