The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia care within the Department of Anesthesiology. The CRNA will manage complex anesthesia cases, collaborate with anesthesiologists, and contribute to clinical education and research efforts. This full-time position is based at Doan Hall and involves working standard daytime hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures, managing complex and unpredictable cases.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and the healthcare team to develop and implement anesthesia plans.
  • Monitor and assess patients' responses to anesthesia and adjust care accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
  • Participate in clinical education and training of staff and students.
  • Contribute to clinical research initiatives related to anesthesia practice.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care and patient status.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain certification requirements.

Compensation

  • Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Day shift hours, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse anesthesia program.
  • Current Ohio RN licensure and Ohio Certificate of Authority as a CRNA.
  • Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Eligibility to obtain clinical privileges through OSUMC Credentialing Office.
  • Experience in managing complex anesthesia cases preferred.
  • Strong technical, cognitive, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to adherence to institutional policies and standards.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
