Nemours Children's Health Florida is seeking Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers to staff the Level III NICU at Studer Family Children's Hospital in Pensacola. The role involves rounding with neonatologists, managing neonatal intensive care patients, and participating in daily NICU rounds under supervision, with rotating shifts required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide care for neonatal intensive care patients in collaboration with neonatologists, under supervision.
  • Conduct parent interviews and obtain family history.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists on patient history, physical findings, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Order laboratory tests and procedures as appropriate.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary for neonatal care.
  • Provide care related to temperature stabilization, hyperalimentation, feeding management, and phototherapy.
  • Complete timely documentation according to departmental policies and standards.
  • Participate in daily NICU rounds and meet departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or licensed Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant in Florida.

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in variable schedules.
  • Experience or training in neonatal intensive care is preferred but not explicitly required.
