We are seeking a full-time anesthesiologist assistant (AA) to provide anesthesia services in Central Texas, approximately 90 miles from Fort Worth. The role involves working in both hospital and ambulatory surgery center settings, with a focus on outpatient cases. The position offers a flexible schedule with no call responsibilities and involves supervision of CRNAs under the direction of an MD.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for outpatient cases in hospital and ASC settings.
- Cover scheduled cases on Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly.
- Supervise CRNAs under medical direction (1 MD:4 CRNAs).
- Manage anesthesia for B&B cases, excluding OB and cardiovascular procedures.
- Switch between hospital and outpatient surgery center environments.
- Start as soon as credentialed.
- Work without call responsibilities, including weekends.
- Coordinate with the medical team to ensure patient safety and care quality.
Compensation
- Compensation model: Other (1099 tax status).
Shift & Schedule
- Work schedule includes Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly.
- No call or weekend work required.
- Schedule is variable and flexible.
Requirements
- Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA).
- Ability to obtain necessary credentials for practice in Texas.
- Experience with outpatient anesthesia and B&B cases preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and supervise CRNAs.
- Flexibility to work variable schedule days (Tues/Thurs).
- No call or weekend work required.
- Professional liability insurance coverage (if applicable).
- Valid medical license or eligibility to practice in Texas.
