Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Surgery at Riverside University Health System, is seeking certified Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to support surgical services in a Level 1 trauma center. The role involves providing swing shift coverage, primarily in the late afternoon to evening hours, with a focus on perioperative management and trauma care. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and effective communication with trauma surgeons and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative management and support for surgical patients in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Deliver swing shift coverage during late afternoons and evenings.
• Identify and initiate treatment for life-threatening conditions in trauma and surgical patients.
• Communicate effectively during transitions of care between APPs, residents, and surgeons.
• Manage complex clinical problems related to trauma, surgical critical care, and acute care surgery.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic clinical environment.
• Maintain compliance with hospital and state licensing and certification requirements.
• Obtain and maintain medical staff privileges and necessary certifications.

Compensation

• $130,000 - $180,000 base salary, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank.
• Additional compensation may include variable pay, productivity bonuses, relocation support, and loan repayment assistance.
• Compensation is provided as a W-2 salary.

Requirements

• Valid California RN or Nurse Practitioner license.
• California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners.
• AGACNP certification.
• BLS (BAR) and ACLS (ART) certifications.
• Ability to obtain medical staff privileges.
• Strong perioperative and trauma care knowledge.
• Experience in surgical critical care or acute care surgery preferred.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced, changing clinical environment.
